My name is Lesley Sales, and I’m the founder of The Gel Space, a nail salon located in the heart of Cheverly, Maryland. As a licensed cosmetologist with a specialty in dry manicure and pedicure services, I have years of experience in the nail industry. I founded my own salon because I was tired of working in places that did not meet my exact standards. My goal is to foster a safe and clean environment for my clients. The Gel Space is a waterless nail salon that uses warm towels, oils, and lotions to perform manicure and pedicure services. Why waterless? Your nail polish will last longer! Soaking nails in water can cause the nail plate to expand, which can affect the polish and cause it to chip quickly. Waterless manicure and pedicures are also more sanitary as soaking basins are more prone to infections. My promise: Client safety and satisfaction are my top priorities. In my effort to give you beautiful nails, I prepare my station by sterilizing my tools with barbicide, using disposable files and buffers, and sanitizing stations after every client. Of course, I wear gloves and wash hands before and after every client.
